Rites are Held at Bellevue

Bellevue, Mar. 17 – Mrs. Peter Ambrosy, 69, died Tuesday in Mercy hospital at Dubuque following a month’s illness.

Last rites were held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic church. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

She was born Dec. 25, 1888, at St. Donatus as Mary, daughter of the late Nicholas and Lena Weimerskirch Heiar. On Nov. 23, 1910 she married Peter Ambrosy at St. Donatus. Four years ago they moved to Bellevue. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus auxiliary and the rosary society of St. Joseph’s church.

She is survived by her husband; six sons, Ervin of St. Donatus, Raymond of Zwingle, Alfred of LaMotte, Leo of Bellevue and Wendell and Lester, both of Bernard; three daughters, Mrs. Lewis Kiess of Peosta, Ia., Mrs. Carl Ernst of Bellevue and Mrs. Fabin Duster of Epworth, Ia.; a sister, Sister M. Adelaide of Arcadia, Ia., and four brothers, J. P. Heiar of Humphry, Nebr., Joe Heiar of Sabula, Norbert Heiar of Charlotte and Alphonse Heiar of Oakdale; and 36 grandchildren.

Her parents, six brothers, a sister and three sons preceded her in death.
