DIED
PALMER-Joseph C. Palmer, aged 73 years, died of paralysis at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at his home in this city. Deceased was born in Stark county, Ohio, June 18, 1818, and came to this county in 1852, when he returned to Ohio and married his present wife. They returned to this county in 1853 where they have since resided. He had a paralytic stroke and has been a patient sufferer ever since. He was one of a family of 18 children and two sisters survive him, one at Beatrice, Nebraska, and the other, Mrs. Brumbaugh, of Davenport, is here. A wife, two sons, Frank and Henry, the later of Marion, who is here, and two daughters, Miss Lillie at home and Mrs. Lydia Kyle, of New Berlin, Ohio, mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father. The funeral took place at the residence yesterday afternoon at 2 0’clock, Revs. H. G. Lorenz and T. S. Oadams officiating.
