April 11, 1941Funeral Rites for Thomas Ryan Held at Otter Creek
Funeral services for Thomas Ryan, 40, of Otter Creek were held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Lawrence church at Otter Creek with Rev. J. M. Campbell officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
Pall bearer were: Dennis Slattery, Pete Nemmers, Charley Veach, Bert Hutchins, Emmett Smith, Ted Hingtgen, Gene Hayes and Elmer Lynch.
Mr. Ryan died suddenly Tuesday afternoon of a heart attack while working on his farm two miles north of Otter Creek.
He was born June 20, 1900, at Otter Creek, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ryan. He was united in marriage on June 1, 1925, to Loretta Anglin, who survives with his mother; five children, Loras, Madonna, Wilfred, Mardell and Anita; also three brothers, James of Maquoketa, Melvin of Andrew and Earl of Otter Creek; and two sisters, Cora of Green Bay, Wis., and Rita of Otter Creek.
His father, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
