May 1, 1873RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE.
Bridgeport Division, No. 7, S. T., in hall assembled, present the following preamble and resolution in regard to the late departed sister Retta Cheney who died at the residence of her father, A. J. Cheney, in Andrew, April 22, 1873.
Whereas, Our Heavenly Father saw fit in his all wise providence to remove from our midst by death, our beloved sister Retta Cheney, Therefore,
Resolved, That while we submit in humble resignation to the will of God, we realize a sad bereavement, and the cause of temperance has lost a firm advocate in the death of sister Cheney,
Resolved, That we tender our cordial and hearty sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased,
Resolved, That this Division tender their thanks to the Andrew Division for the active part taken by them in the funeral services of sister Reta Cheney.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be presented to the bereaved family, also to the Andrew Picket and Maquoketa EXCELSIOR for publication,
