The news which reached here from Davenport Thursday morning, advising friends and relatives of the death of Willard H. Palmer, for many years one of this city’s most able attorneys, came as a shock, very few being aware that he was seriously ill. A few weeks ago he left Maquoketa to take up residence in Davenport. The remains will be brought to this city this Friday evening, and the funeral will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. at the Buchner chapel.
