DIED-
HOLLISTER- At his home on Matteson Avenue in this city Monday evening, Sept. 29th, 1902. Edgar D. Hollister, aged 64 years, 1 month, and 28 days.
The deceased was born Aug. 1, 1838 at South Manchester, Conn., and was married to Miss Rosa Foster, Nov. 26, 1878. To this union four children were born- Edgar, Alice, Helen and Carrie(Mrs. Fred Anderson), who with the wife mourn his death.
He was for some time the local agent of the C. & N. W. Ry Co., at this point, later he moved to Denison where he remained for a short time. He then returned to this city and purchased a news and cigar store. After conducting this business for some time he got out of it and engaged in other pursuits in this city and Delmar. For some time he has been engaged in the real estate business. For the past two years his health has been very poor and gradually failed until death released him from his ills.
The funeral was held at the home yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o’clock p. m., Rev. A. T. Young of the Episcopal Church officiating. The Knights of Pythias , of which order he had been a member, attended the funeral in a body. The interment took place in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
