WEED – In Maquoketa, Jan. 28, 1872. Mrs. Hannah Weed, in the seventy-sixth year of her age. She leaves behind her many relations and friends to mourn her absence; but who hope to meet her when this life’s work is done. For

“Yonder rolls a turbid river,

Where our mother rests forever,

And from toil and pain she’s free;

Yonder stands a beauteous mansion,

She led by life’s fairer tree,

And I hear my Savior saving,

Pilgrim, this was built for thee.”
