Sabula Gazette, January 8, 1876.

At St. Donatus, Tet des Mortes Township, this county, on New Year's day, 1876, John A. Tritz, passed to the life beyond. Mr. Tritz was a politician of considerable local influence and a man above the average in intellectual power. He represented Jackson County in the General Assembly of Iowa one term and was for several years a member of the Board of Supervisors.
