DIED
LINDEWOOD-On Saturday, December 20th, 1902, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Wyrick, after a somewhat protracted illness, occurred the death of Mr. Simon A. Lindewood. The deceased was born in Wythe County, Virginia, on the 8th day of December in the year 1861, and was at the time of his death, a little past forty-one years old.
Mr. Lindewood was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in the year 1885, and has been a professed Christian for about seventeen years.
The deceased has not lived in our city very long, moving here from Baldwin a few months ago and is better known to the people of Baldwin than the citizens from our town.
On Monday at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, Rev. Geo. B. Shoemaker conducted services at the M. E. Church, and the body was interred in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
