DIED

ATHERTON- Of small pox, at her home in South Fork Township, Friday, June 21st, 1872, Laura Estelle, daughter of A. P. and C. L. Atherton, aged 11 years, 8 months, and 23 days.
She was taken sick the 3rd and died the 21st of June. She suffered all the pains of the disease with a resignation beyond her years; asked her parents to pray for her; told them she had rather die than suffer so, and said she was going. When asked where, she replied, "To Heaven."
