Herman Poggeman died at his home near Green Island last Saturday evening after a brief illness, aged 50 years. He was in Bellevue several days previous to his death and upon returning home suddenly became ill, his death resulting as above stated. Mr. Poggeman held the offices of justice of the peace and school director and was a man who enjoyed the confidence and esteem of the community in which he lived. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his loss. The funeral took place Tuesday from the Catholic church at Springbrook. The friends of the family extend heartfelt sympathy.
