Mrs. Fred Schroeder, who lives about three miles north of Miles, was found in their large reservoir Wednesday morning at 9:30 o’clock. The family heard her go out in the night, but thought nothing of it, but in the morning she was missing. The neighbors were notified and a search instituted, and her body was found by Frank Carter in the reservoir which contained about 9 feet of water. Coroner Ristine was notified and arrived there Thursday night accompanied by Sheriff Ryan. A jury was impaneled and an inquest held at once. The jury T. A. Pearson, H. W. Kruse and V. Denick, after hearing the evidence returned a verdict of suicide.
