Eugene Tannery received a message Saturday evening notifying him of the sad death of his dwarf cousin, Ruby Rickoff, known the county over as Madam Coretta, who was instantly killed in a runaway at Kankakee, Ill., Thursday. She was fifteen years old, and was but twenty-one inches tall and for four years traveled with Ringling –Bros. circus, by whom she was paid a salary of $75 a week.
