DEATH OF MALINDA EYE

Miss Malinda Eye was born Oct. 6, 1836, at Franklin, Pendleton Co. West Va. And died at her home in Maquoketa, Iowa May 31, 1912.

She was one of a family of thirteen children and is survived by one brother living at Appleton City, Mo.

She has two nieces living at Maquoketa Mrs. V. P. Grant and Mrs. John K. Cook, and two nephews Augustus and Arthur Botkins. Also a number of nieces and nephews living in the East.

She was an active member of the Methodist church here at Maquoketa for a number of years.

She left Maquoketa the latter part of June 1911 for West Va, to visit her nephews and nieces, returning April 5, 1912 to her home after a most enjoyable visit there. On the morning of May 30, she was stricken with apoplexy from which she never regained consciousness. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Sunday at 2:30. The local W. C. T .U. attended in a body.
