DIED

DENIS-On the 6th day of January, 1872, Mrs. Jane Denis, of Maquoketa Township, Jackson County, Iowa.
Deceased was a daughter of Wm. and Margaret M. Orr. She was a consistent member of the United Presbyterian Church, of which Rev. G. W. Torrence is pastor. She leaves a husband and three children to mourn her departure.
