Richard Cobb

Mr. Richard Cobb, an old and esteemed citizen of Andrew, in this county, died Saturday morning at his residence in that place, after a brief illness. He was stricken with paralysis on Wednesday night previous, and never recovered his consciousness. Mr. Cobb was well and familiarly known to the people of this county as the proprietor of the Jackson House, in that town, kept by him for more than twenty years, and many of us on our periodical visits to the county seat, will miss the old man's kindly welcome. He was a native of England, and at the time of his death in the seventieth year of his age. Ever since becoming a citizen of the United States he had been a firm and consistent member of the Democratic Party. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss, who have our heartfelt sympathy in their affliction.
