Mrs. Phillip Yunker.

After four months of suffering from a complication of diseases, Mrs. Phillip Yunker passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. Nicholas Schlentz, in this city (Bellevue), on Saturday night, December 27th, 1902, at 11 o'clock. Mrs. Yunker, whose maiden name was Lena Lay, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lay, and was born near Bellevue, August 23, 1880. She came to Bellevue with her parents in 1893 and had remained a continuous resident here with the exception of a few months residence with Yunker, whom she married in Dubuque, on January 15, 1902, and from whom she separated about five months ago on account of mistreatment. The decedent is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nicholas Schlentz, and a half brother, Nicholas Lay, of Bellevue Township. The funeral occurred from St. Joseph's Catholic church this morning at 9 o'clock. Interment taking place at the Catholic cemetery in the family lot.
