Nellie Ringlep Dies in Clinton; Rites Thursday

Last rites for a life-long resident of Jackson county, Mrs. Nellie Ringlep, 79, were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock in the Carson funeral home. The Rev. James L. Postel, pastor of St. Mark’s Episcopal church, officiated at the services. Interment was made in Mt. Hope cemetery.

Mrs. Ringlep was born Aug. 22, 1876, at Iron Hill, a daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Kaler. Her husband, Adam Ringlep, preceded her in death. She was a longtime member of the Maquoketa Pythian Sisters. She died Tuesday in Clinton.

Only immediate survivor is a great-niece, Mrs. LaFrance Thode of Davenport. Three brothers, two sisters, her husband and her parents preceded her.
