MRS. M DIEMER, ANDREW PASTOR’S WIFE, IS DEAD

Andrew, Jan. 5 – Mrs. Max Diemer, 30, wife of the pastor of Salem Lutheran church here, died Wednesday morning in an Iowa City, Ia., hospital. She had been in ill health for some time.

The remains will be at the Carson funeral home in Maquoketa until 11 a.m. Friday. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in Salem Lutheran church. Interment will be at Denver, Ia.

The former Darlene Helen Brandt, she was born Mar. 20, 1925, at Denver, Ia., and was married there on Aug. 4, 1946, to the Rev. Max Diemer. Before coming to the Andrew pastorate four years ago, Rev. and Mrs. Diemer were New Guinea missionaries. The past term Mrs. Diemer has been vocal music instructor in the Andrew Community schools.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Joel and Daniel; a daughter, Elizabeth; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brandt of Denver, Ia.; four brothers, Thorton of Andrew, Burton of Iowa City, Roland, in New Guinea, and Lincoln of Denver, Ia.; and two sisters, Miss Alberta Brandt of Denver, Ia., and Mrs. Aloha Bouqure of Omaha, Nebr.
