George Wade died suddenly at his home in Elwood on Thursday last at the age of 74 years. For fifty-four years he has been a resident of Brookfield township, Clinton county, and he was one of the strong men identified with the early settlement and development of the county. He leaves a wife, a son, Charles of Wall Lake, and a daughter, the wife of Ben Lienbaugh of Elwood. The funeral occurred Sunday at Elwood, Rev. Ridder conducting the services, a large number of people attending. Mr. Wade, a good man whose influence was always cast on the right side of every public question.
