Maquoketa Record, June 25, 1907:
On Sunday of last week occurred the death of Mrs. Albert Cort of Zwingle, one of the oldest residents of the county, being in her 78th year. She led a good useful life and the whole community will feel the loss of such a beautiful character. The funeral occurred on Wednesday morning, Rev. F.C.Bauman of the Reformed Church officiating. The deceased leaves to mourn her a very large family of five daughters: Mrs. E.M.Strain of St.Paul, Mrs. J.F.Ritter of Maquoketa, Mrs. E.M.Kearney of Cascade, Mrs. Fletcher Kearney, the Misses Lizzie and Minnie of Zwingle, and four sons, M.J. of Minneapolis, W.F. of Los Angeles, Daniel of Missouri and Jacob of Holdredge, Nebraska. All the children were present at the funeral except the three sons last mentioned.
