Jackson Sentinel, Feb. 7, 1907:
Peter J. Potter was born in 1902 and died January 27th, 1907. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Potter. The funeral was held at the house where the neighbors and friends gathered to pay the last sad rites to a loving boy and manifest their sympathy for the afflicted family. Elder John W. Said officiated at the funeral and spoke from St. Mark 16th chapter and 15th verse, after which he was laid to rest at the Hickory Grove Cemetery, there to wait the consumation of the Christian's hope.
