Virginia H. Pahnke, 85, of Davenport, died Friday, February 27, 1998 at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.
In keeping with her wishes, her body was donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines.
Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments. There will be no visitation.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport.
Virginia H. Watson was born January 11, 1913, to Francis and Jennie [Roberts] Watson in Maquoketa. She married Donald A. Evans in 1938 in Iowa City. He preceded her in death. She married Erwin W. Pahnke on August 3, 1973 in Bettendorf. He survives.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and AARP. She enjoyed music and dancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady Of Victory Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
Survivors include her husband, Erwin, Davenport, a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Raymond Russell, East Moline, a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marilyn Evans, Columbus, Neb.; a son, Steven A. Evans, Davenport; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and a sister, May Jones, South Carolina.
She also was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, including a twin brother, Leo in 1995.
