Farmer Dies After Two-Year Illness.
August Levensen, 60, Jackson County farmer, died at University Hospital, Iowa City, at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, after two years illness.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday from the Carson-Balster Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford Rogers of Lost Nation, in charge. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.
Mr. Levensen was married in Olin, February 16, 1910 to Margaret Rohwedder. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Anna Edwards of Leon, and Mrs. Agnes Tubbs, Bremerton, Wash., and one son, John of Monmouth, also by two brothers, Teeter of Olin and Carl of Clarence. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
