HERMAN STANGE, 77, DIES IN HOSPITAL
Herman Stange, 77, died at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Jackson County Public hospital here after a short illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Stange will be held this (Friday) afternoon at two o'clock in the Carson funeral home. The Rev. Howard E. Beil will conduct the services and burial will be made in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Mr. Stange was born Nov. 8, 1874, son of the late C. Stange and Sophia Stange. On Dec. 14, 1898, he was marrried in Maquoketa to Hattie Tubbs; she preceded him in death in 1950.
He was a telegrapher and depot agent for the Milwaukee railroad for many years and served as assistant postmaster here for several years before he retired.
He is survived by one brother, Fred Stange of Birmingham, Ala. Four brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.DEATH DATE: January 16, 1952
