BALDWIN — Virginia H. Eaton, 86, of Baldwin, died Thursday at Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa.

Burial will be in East Iron Hill Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

She was born March 2, 1921, in Jackson County to John P. and Nora Hill Dodds. She married Edward Eaton on June 8, 1938, in Maquoketa.

She attended rural Jackson County schools.

She and her husband farmed in the Iron Hill area. She also worked with Maquoketa and Monmouth schools for 23 years in the school lunch program before retiring in 1983. She also drove school bus.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Peggy Burgess of Hampton; one son, Roger (Sally) Eaton of Cascade; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, her parents and one brother.
