SABULA — Diane Irene Holman, age 50 of Belpre, Ohio, formerly of Sabula, died Tuesday at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersberg, W. Va.

Burial will be in the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in rural Sabula.

She was born on Dec.9, 1956, in Savanna, to Wesley and Betty Horan Chrest. She married Steve Holman on March 8, 1974, in Sabula.

She graduated from Sabula High School in 1975.

They moved to the Belpre area in 1983 when they were transferred by Dupont. She was active in the Belpre High School Bank and the PTA. She was also a den mother with the Boy Scouts and was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Belpre.

Survivors include her husband, Steve; one daughter, Marcia Holman of Belpre; two sons, Kevin (Mandy) Holman of Little Hocking, Ohio, and Jeffrey (Mandy) Holman of Davenport; her mother, Betty Kirst of Thomson, Ill.; five brothers, Dean (Connie) Chrest of Preston, Dennis (Deb) Chrest of Miles, Larry (Sharon) Chrest of Sabula, Daryl (Jean King) Chrest of Clinton, and Wes Chrest of Clinton; three sisters, Joyce (John) Shryock of Mucatine, Janice (Bill) Van Meter of Belvidere, Ill., and Susan (Steve) Johnson of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
