FORMER MAQUOKETAN BURIED AT MANCHESTER

The funeral for Pvt. James Rea Traner was held Monday, May 18, 1948, at the Gill funeral home in Manchester. He was the son of Earl Traner of Shieffield, Iowa and Mrs. Rose Traner of Seibering, Ohio.

Pvt. Traner was killed in action January 28, 1945, just five days after landing in Saar Anea, near Deffertin, Germany. He was in the air division. He was a medical student at the time he entered the service.

Mr. Traner was a former Maquoketa resident.
