Mustered Out
Mr. A. J. Russell, a civil war veteran, answered the last roll call at Baldwin on Saturday last, and on Monday was laid to rest in the cemetery in Preston. Mr. Russell was 78 years of age. He enlisted in the Army from Minnesota and served his country faithfully. He was a chrter member of A. W. Drips post and was its commander for a time. The Comrades of the Post attended his funeral at Preston on Monday paying their final fraternal respects to the departed. Deceased leaves a son and daughter in Baldwin and a daughter who resides in Moline. He had many friends who regret his death.
