SABULA — Darlene M. Hartman, 77, of Sabula, died Tuesday at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, Ill.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Sabula.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: James, Lloyd Jr., Robert and Jeffrey Barten, Justin Hartman, Brad Wickes, Rodney and Robby Kohn.

She was born Sept. 8, 1929, in Sabula to Milo and Helen Dennison Wilson. She married Zeblun Hartman on May 31, 1947; he died in 1998.

She graduated from Sabula High School in 1947.

She was a homemaker and also worked with the Sabula Speaker Factory, Swift and Co. and Collis Co.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Sabula.

Survivors include four daughters, Sandra (Lloyd) Barten of Miles, Cynthia (Donald) Severns of Matherville, Ill., Joy (Thomas) Wickes of Albany, Ill., and Jane (Darrell) Miller of Woodbury, Minn.; one son, Joseph (Lori) Hartman of Camanche; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diana (Dennis) Stalldryer of Boone and Kay (Ron) Schroeder of Dewitt; and one brother, Larry (Rosann) Raymond of Camanche.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, one sister and one brother.
