REBURIAL HERE FOR PVT. GENE S. HAIGHT, ARMY REPORTS

The body of Pvt. Gene S. Haight, a World War II deceased member of the army, will be returned to Maquoketa withing the next five weeks for reburial, it was announced today by Chicago distributions center. Pvt. Haight is a son of Mrs. Mollie Haight.

The body of Pvt. Haight was intered in the Nettuno temporary military cemetery in Italy, but has been returned to this country for reburial at the request of his mother. Haight, a member of an army medical unit was killed in Italy in June, 1944.

Prior to entering the army he graduated from Maquoketa high school, St. John's academy and Coe College. He was born in Maquoketa on Aug. 29, 1915.
