JURGEN JEPSEN OF MAQUOKETA DIES MONDAY
Jurgen Jepsen, 55, died suddenly in his home in Maquoketa Monday morning.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Carson funeral home with the Rev. Howard Beil officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope.
Mr. Jepsen was born Aug. 8, 1896 in Clinton county. He was married to Gertrude Lindmeier on Oct. 30, 1940 in Anamosa. She survives. He was a World War I veteran and was an electrician by trade. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Knights of Pythias.
Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Arlene; a brother, August of Glendale, Calif.; a sister, Mata Stender of Maquoketa and a granddaughter.
