PETER WEIRUP, 56, DIES FRIDAY AT MAQUOKETA HOME

Funeral service for Peter B. Weirup, 56, who died Friday, was held at 2 p.m. Monday in Carson funeral home with Rev. Harold Kumpf officiating. Burial was in Buckhorn cemetery.

Mr. Weirup was born May 15, 1895, the son of Peter and Margaret Hoop Weirup. He married Elsie Weede January 28, 1920, in Maquoketa.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Arnie of Ft. Lawton, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Helma Heeren of Onslow; five brothers, Art, Herbert and Louis of Maquoketa, Rudolph of Delmar and Helmuther of Baldwin, and one sister, Mrs. Erma Reid of Maquoketa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one child and two sisters.
