Word came to Maquoketa friends on Sunday evening that Miss Faye Brady had passed away that afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. A. L. Thomas in Cedar Rapids, it cast a shadow of gloom over the friends and relatives, as the death of one so young when life was at its prime, seemed unbelievable. For some months she had been in failing health but continued to be at her position as long as health permitted.

Faye Lorell Brady, was born November 2, 1908, in Maquoketa, Iowa, daughter of J. W. Brady and Lora Patterson Brady, the latter of whom preceded her in death July 25, 1912.

After her graduation she taught school in the vicinity of Maquoketa for two years, and attended nurses training school for six months, and since that time has been employed by Witwer Grocery Companyo of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She had been in failing health for the past ten months and had been cared for in the home of her sister in Cedar Rapids.

She joined the Congregational church in Maquoketa in 1930 and for seven years had a record of Sunday school attendance without missing a session, and conducted a Sunday school class for several years and was active in all church affairs.

She is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Brady and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. A. L. Thomas of Cedar Rapids, Lyle, Bernice, Verna Mae, Billy, George, Dale, Allan and Albert at home.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the home, the Rev. Geo. F. Barsalcu, pastor of the Congregational church officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in Mt. Hope cemetery.
