Services Held Sunday At Home In Canton For Joel Z. Reyner

Funeral services for Joel Z. Reyner, 83, were held at 2 p. m. Sunday at his home in Canton, the Rev. Harry D. Green, Methodist minister, in charge. Burial was in the Canton cemetery.

Mr. Reyner died Thursday afternoon at his home following a brief illness.

Joel Zaynes Reyner, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Reyner, was born May 19, 1858, in Jones county, Iowa. On August 28, 1880, he married Mary Jane Gilmore of Ozark, Iowa, who preceded him in death April 1, 1941.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ida Kettlesen of Wyoming, Iowa; Mrs. Simon Kane of Letcher, S. D.; Mrs. Jessie Hannahs of Oxford Jct.; Mrs. Ray Griswold of Wyoming and Grace at home; three half-sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Peterson of Miami, Florida; Mrs. Vida Larkey of Lebanson, Michigan and Mrs. Stella Clum of Independence, Mo.; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
