A. J. Peckosh Rites Saturday.
Funeral services for Antone J. Peckosh, 46, an Oxford Junction electrician and appliance store operator, will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in Sacred Heart Church at Oxford Junction. The Right Rev. Msgr. Joseph M. Gregor, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in Mayflower Cemetery there. The Haylock-O'Hara Funeral Home Maquoketa was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Peckosh died Thursday morning in the Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa following a lingering illness. He was born Dec. 8, 1906, in Oxford Junction, the son of the late John A. Peckosh and Mrs. Christina Peckosh. On Sept. 2, 1937, he was married in Oxford Junction to Agnes Mack, who survives.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Deanna at home; his mother; one sister Mrs. Robert Kleineck of Oxford Junction; and three brothers, Lumir of Cresco, L.C.Peckosh of Oxford Junction, and Dr. F.S.Peckosh of Lost Nation. (Jackson Sentinel, January 30, 1953.)
