DEATH OF DORA McCARTHY
Dora Mildred McCarthy, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.D. McCarthy, passed away at an early hour Sunday morning at the family home on W. Maple street, after several years of suffering. She was born February 12, 1889, at Zwingle where she received her education and graduated from Zwingle school. Soon after graduation she entered the seminary at Epworth to take a course in music but she suffered a nervous breakdown and was unable to continue her school work. She had never enjoyed good health since that time and for several years had been an invalid, and was tenderly cared for by her parents who did everything which could be done for her comfort and pleasure. About twelve years ago the family moved to this city where they have since resided and where her only brother, Justin C., passed away March 13, 1922.
While living at Zwingle she united with the Bethel United Presbyterian church, which membership she always retained.
Funeral services will be held from the home Wednedsay at 2 p.m., Rev. A. W. Sinden, pastor of the Congregational church officiating. burial will be made in Mt. Hope cemetery.
