OTTO HAAS DIES SUDDENLY AT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Otto Haas, aged about fifty-five years, passed away at the Memorial hospital shortly after noon Monday, death following a brief illness with internal hemorrhages. Mr. Haas was taken suddenly ill Sunday at his rooms in the Wray building on East Platt street and was removed to the hospital where everything possible was done to save his life. On Monday morning her told friends that he was feeling much better, but about noon suffered another attack which proved fatal.
Mr. Haas was a skilled bricklayer by trade and had erected numerous buildings in this city and vicinity, having just completed the beautiful Jas. Campbell home on South Main street.
Otto was a friend to all, save himself; he never turned a deaf ear to anyone in trouble or misfortune and as a close acquaintance told us, "Otto was one of the biggest hearted persons that ever lived." The body was taken to the Buchner undertaking parlors, thence to Davenport, his former home, where funeral services and interment will take place tomorrow. He is survived by one sister of Davenport and two brothers residing in Texas.
