Funeral services for Robert Luett here Thursday.
Funeral services for Ph.M.3C Robert H. Luett, killed in action July 22, 1945, on Okinawa, will be held this Thursday afternoon, April 14(1949) in the Carson-Balster funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be made in the Buckhorn Cemetery with full military honors. The body, arriving in Clinton Monday evening was brought to Maquoketa Wednesday.
Luett was born Dec. 16, 1921 in Lost Nation, the son of Louis and Amanda Luett. A graduate of Preston high school, he was inducted into the Navy in August of 1943 and took his basic training in Farragut, Ida. His father preceded him in death. He died in 1945.
