DEATH OF THOMAS FLATLEY
Sorrow again enshrouds the Flatley home south of Maquoketa, death having claimed the two young duaghters a few months ago and has now called the husband and father to the land where sorrow and suffering are unknown.
Thomas Flatley, aged 58 years, passed away Thursday morning at the St. Joseph hospital in Dubuque following a lingering illness. He was born and grew to manhood in Ireland, came to this country at the age of 22 years. Eighteen years ago he moved to a farm south of Maquoketa where he resided until he became ill last spring.
He leaves to mourn, his wife and two sons, John and Ligouri, who reside on the home farm, also two brothers, Walter of Chicago and Patrick of Springfield, Ill. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
