ANOTHER PIONEER GONE
After an illness of several months, William Gnade, aged seventy-five years, passed away has his home four miles east of Andrew, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Mr. Gnade was one of our sturdy pioneers who spent an entire lifetime in the community which he loved to call home. Born in Germany in 1850, he came to this country and Iowa when a child and located near Andrew and thru the years had no desire to search elsewhere for a home. He was united in marriage to Miss Gusta Gardner to which union two children were born, on of whom passed away long ago, the remaining son being James Gnade of this city. The wife and mother preceded the deceased in death about forty-five years ago. Mr. Gnade was an industrious farmer, a good neighbor and citizen.
The funeral will be held from the late home Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock and services will be held at the Lutheran church in Andrew at two o'clock. Interment will be made in the Andrew cemetery.
