OBITUARY OF H. W. FOLLETT
Hiram W. Follett was born in Franklin county, New York, October 28, 1856, and when nine years of age came with his parents to Iowa where he has since resided.
On November 14, 1884, he was united in marriage to Nettie A. Dow and they were the fond parents of three children, Harry D. of Oak Park, Ill., Ray of Rochester, Indiana, and Helen Follett-Gisel of Andrew, who with the sorrowing widow and six grandchildren survive to mourn his passing. He passed away Friday, August 20, 1926 at his home on South Main street, after an illness of twenty years, caused by paralysis. Through all the years of suffering his patient, loving wife was his faithful nurse, and was always ready to minister to his every need and to grant him his slightest wish.
He had been a member of M.W.A. lodge for many years, but because of poor health he was unable to attend meetings.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the late home, conducted by Rev. F. C. Worcester of the M.E. church. Burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery.
