LOIS J. BECK
Lois J. Beck, 57, of Maquoketa, died Tuesday in Jackson County Public Hospital, following an extended illness.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa, with the Rev. William McLaughlin officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today in Haylock-O'Hara and Lahey Funeral Home, where the Catholic Daughters of America will recite a rosary at 4 .m., and a scripture service will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Sacred heart Cemetery.
Mrs. Beck was born Jan. 26, 1932 in Maquoketa, to Raymond and Viola Wurster Laffey. She married Paul Owen Beck, Jan. 12, 1952 in Maquoketa. He died Jan. 26, 1986. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Beck was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, past district president with the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and past regent of Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include a son, Randy, of Darien, Wis.; and a brother, Laverne Laffey, of Onslow, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
