ANDREW — Garnett M. Brundage, 69, of Andrew, died Wednesday at Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa.

Burial will be in Andrew Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Jackson County to Daniel W. and Alma A. Rommert Rockwell. She married Harold G. Brundage on May 20, 1956, in Andrew. He died in 1995.

She was a 1956 graduate of Andrew High School.

She worked as a florist for many floral shops in Dubuque and Maquoketa areas for more than 30 years. She also served as director of operations for the Andrew Involvement group from 1987 to 2005.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Andrew, and Andrew AMVETS Post 62 Ladies Auxiliary where she was serving as chaplain. She was a representative and former secretary of Lutheran Brotherhood Branch 8569.

Survivors include her children, David Brundage of Maquoketa, Diana Brundage of Maquoketa, Dion (Tina) Brundage of Maquoketa, Danielle Long of Andrew, Dody (Larry) Riordan of Maquoketa and Nicole Fisher of DeWitt; one sister, Anita (John) Diesing of Gilbert, Ariz.; one brother, Gary (Darlene) Rockwell of St. Joseph’s, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one sister, one grandchild and one niece.

A Garnett M. Brundage Memorial Fund has been established.
