MAQUOKETA — Fern A. Warner, 81, of Maquoketa, died Sunday at her home.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Burial will be at a later date.

She was born Sept. 8, 1925, in Davenport to Carl and Birdie J. Bannister Meier. She married Willis L. Untiedt. She then married Wilbur Warner.

She was educated in rural Eldridge.

She worked as a certified nurse’s aide for many years until retiring 2003. She lived in Scott County in Florida and Jackson County.

Survivors include one son, Harvey (Sandra) Untiedt of Maquoketa; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Birdie Erps of Davenport.

A Fern A. Warner Memorial Fund has been established.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one brother and two sisters.
