Dies as Result of Fall from Train

Edward Dobson Is Fatally Injured Here Sunday Night

Edward Edward 65, formerly of Sabula, but who had made Bellevue his home for several years, met with a fatal accident Sunday evening at 8 o'clock when he fell beneath the wheels of a southbound freight train at the Eganhouse crossing in north Bellevue. The wheels passed over his right leg and arm and he died at Moulton hospital Monday morning.

Dobson had gone to Dubuque right after dinner and was returning when the accident happened. It will never be known as to whether he fell
from the train or slipped as he was attempting to get off. Members of the Eganhouse family saw something being rolled from the train and went
to investigate.

"Dobby" as he was called was a familiar figure about town and had many friends especially among the railroad men. He was witty and full of jokes and always had a pleasant welcome for those he knew. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Harvey Provin of Sabula.

The body was taken to Sabula Tuesday afternoon for burial.
