Mrs. Ezra K. Dutton Passes

Adda [sic] E. Summers, was born at Nashville, Iowa, Feb. 8, 1846 and died May 18, 1921 at her home at Iron Hill, Ia. She was united in marriage to Ezra K. Dutton on July 4th, 1870, who preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1894. She leaves to mourn their loss, five children namely, Walter, Emory and Mrs. George Baker of Iron Hill, Mrs. George Hopson of Taylor county, Wisconsin, and Mrs. James Hopson of Union county, South Dakota. Two sons preceded her in death, Oscar, who passed away Dec. 8, 1908, and Byron who died in infancy. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Anna Littell of near Baldwin, and one brother by adoption, Wilson Northrup of Hubbard, Nebr., fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Advent church, was a true Christian, a loving mother and a good neighbor. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the East Iron Hill church, Rev. Watterson officiating, and interment was made in the cemetery at that place. - May 24, 1921, prob. Maquoketa Excelsior.
