PATERNITY SUIT IS DISMISSED

Drop Court Action Against Lloyd Meyer

A paternity and support suit against Lloyd Meyer, former State Representative from Sabula, has been dismissed according to local district court records. Charges had been filed here May 21 by Mrs. Helen Meyer of Fort Dodge.

Meyer, a Republican, resigned from the legislature May 23 and is reported to have moved to Minnesota with his family. The case has been reported to have been settled out of court for $1,300, although your court records reveal no information of this nature.

Mrs. Meyer's petition claimed she was married to Meyer at Roanoke, Va. on June 19, 1936 without knowing that he already had a family. She said she and Meyer lived together in Indiana, Illinois and Iowa and that they have two children, ages six and eight.
