DIXIE BUTT AND FORREST MILLER, MONMOUTH COUPLE, MARRY JAN 9

Monmouth, Iowa

The marriage of Dixie V, Butt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Butt, of Monmouth to Forrest W. Miller, son of Mrs. Mata Miller, also of Monmouth, took place at the Maquoketa Methodist parsonage, Saturday morning, January 9 at 9:00. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. D. Green. The couple was attended by Dixie's father and Forrest's mother. The bride wore a street frock of teal green with black assessories and carried a bouquet of red roses. For something old Dixie wore a diamond ring belonging to her maternal grandmother.

Dixie has been employed at her father's store for the past year. Previous to that she attended Pecatonica high school in Illinois where her family lived at that time. Forrest is a graduate of Monmouth high school in 1948. At present he is employed by the United Seed Corn Co. After a wedding trip to Illinois, the young couple will be at home in an apartment in Monmouth.
