DISAPPEARANCE OF MISS MYRL SIZER IS STILL A MYSTERY

After eight days of continual search by relatives, friends, police authorities, school and college students as well as people generally who through the press and radio, had learned of the mysterious disappearance of Miss Myrl Sizer, no semblance of a tangible clue to her whereabouts has yet been found. Miss Sizer left Maquoketa Friday evening November 5th, supposedly for Cedar Rapids or Mt. Vernon, and was last seen at Marion by a teacher friend of Baldwin, who states that Miss Sizer was jolly and cheerful and had said that she was enroute to the Rapids to have some dental work done. Since that time no trace of her has been found and relatives as well as all others are at a loss to know which way to turn in effort to locate her. Rumors ran rampant last Tuesday and Wednesday, and various persons in the vicinity of Wheatland and Calamus reported that different ladies had been seen on the roadway answering the description of the missing teacher, but investigation only proved all clues to have been worthless.

Many have advanced as many opinions, but all of these are merely guesses and imaginative. Every close friend and relative has been advised of Miss Sizer's disappearance, but none of these have been able to throw any light on the mystery, and while it is hoped that she may be found alive and well, her immediate family admit they know of no stone that has not been upturned in effort to locate their daughter and sister, and know not which way to turn in continuing the search.
